Summary

In 1 John - where it says he who is born of God does not sin and he cannot sin and in Romans 7, where Paul talks about doing the things he does not want to do and does not do the things he ought...How do all these passages reconcile?

A listener appreciates Pastor Carl's diagnostic questions....(how sure are you that if you died that you would go to heaven, and what must you do to go to heaven.) He knows that God calls us to love Him and love one another. But he has difficulty loving some people. Is this attitude condemning him?

A listener, saved for thirty years, has never heard anybody adequately explain Matt. 16:19. What are the keys of the kingdom and why is it not referred to as the keys "to" the kingdom.

In the John 19 discourse where Pilate says to Jesus "Don't you realize I have the power to have you crucified..." and Jesus replies  "You have no power unless it was given from above. Therefore, the one who delivered me to you has the greater sin." Is the one Jesus is talking about Judas?

I know of Bible believing Christians that endorse Mitt Romney and I am completely shocked. I have studied Mormonism extensively and find it to be in complete opposition to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and everything that Christianity stands for, with its polytheistic beliefs. And I am surprised Christians would endorse a person affiliated with this deceitful pagan religion. Though I disagree with our president on many issues, he still maintains a Christian confession as our prior presidents have and believe as Christians we must not let Mormonism in the front door of our country. Mormonism is truly a wolf in sheeps clothing. Would you agree, or am I in left field?

A listener says that last week there was a claim that a fragment of papyrus from the 4th century quotes Jesus referring to His wife. We know the Christ never married, so how do you explain this to those who believe that this shows that He was?

What does Dr. Broggi think of Ayn Rand and the craze currently (even among some Christians) surrounding the book Atlas Shrugged? I skimmed most of the book and find it abhorrent, narcissistic, and totally opposed to Christ's sacrifice for us all. It bothers me that a lot of Christians are buying into the political craze surrounding the ideals / delusions of truth presented in this book. (Greed, selfishness as virtue, glorifying adultery, anti-regard for the poor, any means to which profit is gained, etc.)
