Anonymous, Beaufort, SC - Dr.Broggi my wife and i have two adult children in their 30's. they have chosen to estrange themselves from us. the younger is a self proclaimed atheist, who has told his mother that she is Not his mom,and only acknowledges that just birthed him. the older daughter is resentful and unforgiving of the mistakes made by her mother...it's been several years now, no contact. we have considered cutting them off from their inheritance,but are not sure if that's the Godly thing to do I appreciate your feedback.

Ofelia, Savannah, GA (Live Dictation) - My mother was a believer and she was cremated. I have heard people say that believers who were cremated will not go to heaven, my question is will I see my mom in heaven?

Monica, Canada - I have a question about mental illness. A person close to me is experiencing paranoid delusions, what the mental health industry calls schizophrenia. He has told me about his "memories" of events in his life, which from my perspective seem to be delusions connected with actual memories and people, but depart into fantasy and that terrible things that he claims were done to him. I won't go into too much detail, but I know most of them could not have happened because they do not match up with my own memories of these times, or with the reality we are experiencing. But he persists in these delusions and there seems to be a spiritual component to them.  I want him to feel safe in talking to me about what he is experiencing. I gently try to tell him what I know about the true Biblical view of the world, what Jesus has done for us, and that we can be sure that the real truth will be made known. I want him to feel it's safe to talk to me about these things, but I also want to respond in a way that is in tune with God's will. 

I want to help him before his condition gets any worse. I don't feel fully equipped to do this well, as I am fairly new to true Christianity myself, having been born again less than two years ago. I have very little faith in the mental health industry and the drugs they prescribe sometimes have very bad side effects. I think your teaching is among the best that is out there these days, and I would appreciate hearing your views and advice on this matter. Thank you for all that you do for Christ and for us!

Ms. Candice - ( 2 Questions) I have a pregnant daughter who is experiencing severe sciatic pain. She and her husband are unconfutable with chiropractic care because of its inception, given chiropractic was adopted by Daniel Palmer in 1895, who practices spiritualism and later claimed he revived the concepts for the practice from a disembodies spirit of a deceased physician. Do you think Christians should avoid chiropractic care today? Can you support your position for me with specific scripture?

On another note, this couple has traveled to Georgia for her to be baptized in the healing water at the North Georgia revival led by Pastor Todd Smith. I am unconfutable with this approach to healing. Should I be? The pastor says his church has been in revival for 5 years since they prayed and fasted and to see a move of God. Can you help with where this might be unscriptural, if indeed you hold that view point?

Alberto, Savannah, GA - Good morning Dr Carl broggi my question is eternal life synonymous to entering the kingdom of God? Because the gospel of john verses mentions believe or recieve . Yet in Mark 1:15,Mathew 7:21,ephesians 5:5, Galations 5:19-21,Acts 14:22 refer to entering the kingdom of God! Basically is the Gospel of john Bible verses relating to salvation enough to get me into heaven or the kingdom of God?

Alberto, Savannah, GA - question is that you said that a person profess christ and down the line in he life abandoned christ because he never really possess christ in the first place. My question is what length of time determines that ? Because theif on the cross profess christ and went to paradise.He didn't have the opportunity to live long enough to see .if he really possess christ.just because someone abandoned christ doesn't really prove he never had possess christ in the first place. If it were so than eternal security or having eternal life is totallly false at the moment of conversion by grace through faith

Bob, Beaufort, SC - I have a question about John the Baptist is the last prophet of the Old Testament, I am confused about this because Elizabeth was pregnant with John the same time Mary was pregnant with Jesus and there was a 400 year gap between the Old and New Testament.

Stan, Beaufort, SC - Recently, a person we are close to has begun to show interest in Calvinism. Stating that a friend he debated made a really good argument regarding election. He quoted Acts 13:48 and asked us, what do you do with this verse that says as many as were ordained to eternal life believed? We tried to show him all the scriptures that show that we must believe, then we are saved, like John 6:47, 20:31, 3:16 etc. and that there are more verses on this than the few verses the Calvinist use. I. said you need to look at the whole of scripture not just those verses. He said that he is a four point Calvinist and that God is talking about the "elect" and that only those people would believe, because God elected them; and that is what he keeps going back to. He said that Christ did not die for Adolf Hitler and I said what about Paul he was a murderer, and Adolf Hitler didn't believe. He said that is because he was not elected but Paul was. He also said that many great men like Charles Spurgeon, George Whitfield, and even pastors today like Erwin Lutzer and John Mcarthur, to name a few, are Calvinist. I was shocked to hear this, Is this true, or are they/their name and many others, being used to push this agenda? Thank you for any knowledge on this subject, and the Acts verse, that you might share. I'm praying that he'll come to see the truth of God's Word more clearly and discerningly.

Dana, Bluffton, SC - My neighbor knows I'm a believer. She asked me to explain how God, Jesus and Spirit are three in one. She was raised Catholic. I don't feel I was very good at explaining. We have only lived here a year and just started listening to you. You probably have this explanation in a sermon or radio question before. Please let me know where to find the teaching or radio broadcast on the this subject.

Vicki, Port Royal, SC - Hello pastor Broggi, first let me say how blessed we are to have your preaching available at anytime. I’m currently working through your sermons on Daniel and it is astounding how much it relates to Revelation. But the question I have is about a book I own entitled “The Apocrypha” it’s volume 1. I would like your opinion on whether I should read it and what are your thoughts on why these books were taken out of the Bible. I value your teaching and if reading this book would be detrimental to my walk with the lord, I hope you will say that. I have read some of Enoch and it is so much more intense than my American Standard edition. Thank you again for your courageous stand on Gods truth.

Jesus we will give an account for every idle word .I hear pastors & christians say that if I say something that doesn't edified no one .I shouldn't say it .The problem is i have with that people want to their ears tickle and don't to hear the truth .So they justify it that its not edifying them! I know that the tone how you say things matter but sometimes people need to be shouted at to take the seriousness of their sins! Even God in the old testament spoke loud many times to isreal.jesus shouted at the religious pharasees & scribes! So what's your response to this email God bless!

Joseph, Port St. Lucie, FL - To give you a little background, my friend was my roommate in college, at which time I was an atheist. He is a lifelong Christian. I used to argue with him about the existence of God, but now 20+ years later, we have calls every other week to discuss faith. I only came to faith in the past couple of years, and I’m reading as much as I can and listening to sermons daily to increase my knowledge of Scripture. My mother is a member of your congregation and I use the Search the Scriptures app often. My friend recently started preaching a series on the book of Revelation and I’m struggling to understand his stance on it. He believes that Revelation is not a literal timeline of events but more of a timeless cautionary tale of persevering in faith through tribulations and that in the end, Jesus wins. I attend a Calvary church in my area, which is dispensational, pre-millennial, evangelical Protestant. Much like Charles Ryrie taught, they use a literal (or plain) reading of the Bible that recognizes figures of speech when they are used but uses scripture to interpret scripture, and that makes sense to me. My friend’s view is that Revelation is apocalyptic literature and that readers in the first and second century AD would have recognized it as such. They would have read it as symbolic and not literal according to him. I’m still young in my faith and don’t know about this subject - what is your view on this topic? Are there any resources you can point me to that would provide more insight on this?
