The Bible Line - September 22, 2015

Series:

Summary

Anonymous - I was listening to the Bible Line from Sep 8 and a question came in regarding co-ed life groups lead by a husband and a wife. The question dealt with the wife having a co-leadership role with her husband. I am a woman who is in a co-ed life group lead by a man. With regards to 1 Tim 2:11 "Let a woman quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness." and also 1 Cor 14:34-35, "Let the women keep silent in churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but let them subject themselves, just as the Law also says. And if they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church." Do these apply to a woman like myself not being allowed to ask questions even if we're not meeting in a church building but having church fellowship and Bible study in someone's home? I feel like this is pretty black and white, but I would still like to hear what you have to say.

David, Hilton Head, SC - What kind of encouragement can Pastor Broggi give for those who are facing spiritual attack for spending more time in God's Word.

A listener has a temper control problem. What can she do in this area?

What are some of the differences between fundamental evangelicals and 7th Day Adventists?

Last week you were talking about the 5 point Calvinists. A listener tried to get the Scripture used for T U L I P.  She got Romans 3 for total depravity but missed the Scriptures used for the U (unconditional election), L for limited atonement, I for irresistable grace and P for perserverance of saints.  Are there main scriptures used for these points?  She's trying to figure out how to address friends who are Calvinists.  Also, is this a salvation issue?
