David, Hilton Head, SC - Has a question about spiritual gifts.

Wayne, Winslow, Maine - I have a question about the lineage of Christ. Matthew makes a point to walk down through the lineage to show the connection from David to Christ and I understand this is important to reveal how prophecy was fulfilled. The only question I have is why the lineage leads through Joseph to Jesus and not Mary, since Joseph had no biological connection to Jesus, where Mary did. Was this strictly due to the fact that, culturally, the people would only understand the connection if it were through the male portion of the blood line? I don't ask out of doubt as I firmly believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God. I just seek to better understand more deeply. 

If tongues displayed today are not for today, how do we explain the gifts of tongues and interpretation in 1 Corinthians?

Is the Bible specific about what happens when we die as to whether we immediately meet Jesus or if an angel takes us to Him?  Some believe one thing and others believe  another.  Is there Scripture that would explain this

A caller would like to know where in Scripture does it say that "the foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head"?  Why does Jesus say this?

A listener says they know God created Adam and Eve and that God created Jesus, so why does God call Jesus his first born child...what about Adam and Eve?
