Summary

Patricia , Beaufort, SC - Recently two people I knew in my life committed suicide, and I was wondering when you take your own life do you go to heaven? Is it a matter of if the person had Christ in their life before they took there own life ? Any thoughts on this topic would be helpful.

We've had many questions about allowing our children to go trick or treating and whether our household should hand out candy to trick or treaters.  What does Pastor Broggi think?

Beaufort, SC - I am a born-again christian, i also understand that there are a lot of men who say that and their life doesn't reflect it. As for me I follow Jesus. I am looking into getting my BA and was wondering what are some schools you would suggest. I will be doing my schooling online.

Does Community Bible Church ever plan on opening a school?

Anonymous, Bluffton, South Carolina  My brother-in-law is studying to be a pastor and recently started to see a christian woman who is not yet divorced & has 3 kids. Her husband committed adultery & doesn't want to reconcile the marriage.  My brother-in-law attends a fundamental Baptist church & his pastor advised him not to see this woman anymore & stated if you marry this divorced woman you can't be a pastor in the church. Well I guess he didn't like that answer and is seeking where in the Bible does it state if he marries her that he could not be a pastor? What are your thoughts or what does the Bible say?

What does Pastor Broggi think about all the churches across the land abandoning the way of the Word.

What does it mean that God is sovereign?

BJ, Rochester, Washington - Dr. Broggi, I was listening to a John MacArthur video recently where he quoted a Psalm of David, Psalm 139:21-22 "Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred It jogged my memory of having been lead to read that Psalm in my MacArthur Study Bible one day, as I followed the links. I was reading Psalm 31:6, that day, which says. . . "I hate those who regard vain idols, But I trust in the Lord" In the note John MacArthur says. . ."I hate". . .Cf Ps 26:5, on the proper basis for such hatred (cf, Ps 139:21) Psalm 26:5~ "I hate the assembly of evildoers, And I will not sit with the wicked." John MacArthur calls this Psalm, coupled with 139:21, the "proper basis for hatred" I'm a bit confused as to what he means by "proper basis of hatred".
