The Bible Line - November 6, 2012

Series:

Summary

A listener would like to know if you have to be saved in a church and if you have to be baptized to be saved? He's read the Bible several times and feels that he is saved....does he have to make a public declaration, attend a church and be baptized?

A listener is doing a study on staffs, sticks and rods of the Bible...This week he heard Erwin Lutzer teaching a series that included (he thought) the statement "That which you picked up in the desert I will teach you by." The listener would like to know where this is in the Bible and Pastor Broggi's thoughts on it.

Where God in Genesis said "this is good" some people say that Satan was not on the earth at this time....could this be something those who ascribe to the 'gap theory' might be espousing?

A caller says that she has recently heard about the Geneva Bible and would like Pastor Broggi's opinion of this translation.

Paula, Beaufort, SC -  Can you recommend a book(s) that proves that the Bible is true and God's Word? A family member living in another state recently shared with me that she doesn't believe everything in the Bible, and I'd like to present her the proof in a book or other readable document format.

A listener wants Pastor Broggi's opinion of Dr. Vodie Baucham. She is concerned about some of the references in one of his books.

A listener is a new Christian and she attends a Bible-believing church, goes to an adult Bible study and spends time studying the Bible. As a new Christian, she would like to know how she knows that her conversion is a true conversion and that her faith will be strong enough to sustain her in the years to come and that it's not just an emotional reaction to a lack in one's life.

A listener in discussion about Purgatory with a Catholic wants some information he can share.

Speaker: Dr. Carl Broggi
