Bob, Okatie, SC (Live Dictation) - Philippians 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice." I love this scripture,  would you explain what "in the Lord" means? I feel this is the key component of this verse and want to get it right. Thank you so much for your ministry!

Theresa, Seabrook, SC - Throughout the Torah God repeatedly says that if one intentionally murders another human he is to be put to death. (Gen 9, Ex 21, Lev 24, Num 35, Deut 19). In Matt 5 Jesus teaches to turn the other cheek, go the extra mile etc. In the section about murder, Jesus equates hating another human to murder, but does not address one who murders another. So my question is, is the death penalty acceptable in the sight of God, so long as it comes from the government exacting punishment.
