Series:
Summary
C.T., Maine - Do you have recommendations for couples who are thinking of moving elderly parents into their home for care? I was advised against it because it would make me “an outsider in my own home”. Any advice you have would be helpful?
Kelvin, via the Institute of Biblical Studies - A friend shared with me a podcast called BEMA Discipleship by Marty Solomon. It appears in session 8 his group makes Sarai and Iscah the same person, making it seem like Abram married his niece instead of his half sister as Gen. 20 notes. My wife and I would like to hear your breakdown on this in more detail. Thanks!
Anonymous (Live Dictation) - I feel like I have lost my joy and my peace; I am going thru many financial and family problems, and it seems as though I have lost hope, please help me to know how I should pray?
Anonymous (Live Dictation) - What are Dr. Broggi's thoughts on people leaving their local churches and starting house churches without elders or deacons like they did in the early church?
Darren, Cairns, Australia - Dr. Broggi, my wife and I are ex Jehovah's Witnesses of 25 years. We have four young boys 6, 8, 10 and 12 and I want to preach the word more. I have just become a registered nurse in the last 12 months and I am now 49, how do I balance my obligations to provide for my family and to preach the gospel? I do want to convert people, and I wish I was a missionary but I'm not. I feel trapped, I'm actively involved in the community, and I try and share the gospel where and when I can. I have also been appointed as a junior representative cricket coach and I'm struggling to be balanced in my walk with Christ. Sometimes I feel like this new appointment pulls me in different directions and I feel torn. I justify my appointment by stating to myself, that I get to preach to people who may not hear the gospel at an elite level. How can I be balanced with my duties to my family, and Christ? Sometimes I think I'm not seeking first the kingdom like Matthew 6.33 says, due to not being a full time evangelist like I was as an ex Jehovah's witness.
Kelvin, Buchanan, VA - Our adult Sunday morning class is in a series on Romans by J.D. Greear through the RightNow media app. My wife and I have our concerns over J.D. Greear since he has been so involved with Acts29 and the Gospel Coalition. So my basic question is, how would you approach a series being taught by Mr. Greear? I recently heard from a 2019 Bible Line that Mr. Greear supports using preferred pronouns in the LGBTQI community. My wife and I are listening to his Romans 5 and 9 teachings on RightNow Media and we feel as though he is, in our grasp of what is being presented as using double talk? We are once again reviewing your series in Romans. But insight you have in his theological leanings are appreciated. We are also listening to Soteriology 101, Leightin Flowers, as he has some podcast regarding Mr. Greear’s positions on Romans 9 and Ephesians 1. Thanks again for being steadfast in the ministry our Lord has given you to bless others with in this world.
