Summary

Kirby G., Soux Falls, SD - . A new troubling issue has reached me. The concept of a "biblical flat earth". I have heard now several pastors and churches now use the scriptures in Genesis and over 200 other "proof texts". They say raquia in Genesis 1 is a dome of firmament as the King James renders it. And that we are deceived by the devil because he is the god of this world.  But I feel it's rife with conspiracy theory, such as no astronauts, no moon landing, etc. I have pleaded my case that I am born again and absolutely know that God is the creator of all things and hold firm to this, but these people are convinced. And i am at a loss for words. One example of a Baptist pastor teaching this is pastor Ray McBerry in Georgia. Have you run across these things?

Bob, Okatie, SC (Live Caller) - I have a question about: Genesis 8:13?

Cassie, Indian Trail, NCHello Dr. Broggi, Thank you for your willingness to answer questions and teach the Word with boldness. I have been a Christian for years, and until a friend recommended your app, I didn’t realize how deficient sermons can be in teaching The Bible. I have also greatly valued your wife’s resources for women. The Lord has used you and her to grow my faith significantly. I struggle now with tradition versus doctrine in local churches. I have always been taught KJV is the only translation to use because it is the most accurate. However, you often refer to many and primarily use the NASB. What is the truth regarding Bible translations? Also, how many services per week is biblical? This is another area people tend to get very defensive about. I am not asking to try and get out of church, which I very much desire to attend. However, so many churches are varying now, and with such strong opinions, it is difficult to know. My main concern is finding a church that follows the Bible and not traditions or preferences. I also want to be able to train my children to know the difference and study the Bible properly. Many of my questions are being answered in your sermons, and I am so thankful to have those. Thank you in advance.
