The Bible Line - March 8, 2016
Series:
Summary
David, Bluffton, SC - What was Moses' sin in striking the rock twice?
Aden, Albany , GA - Question: Dr. Broggi - what is your opinion as to the book of Enoch? It is not among the 66 books of the Bible. However, there are sections (Gen 5:24 and Heb 11:5) that refer to Enoch. The controversy surround this book typically focuses on the issue of nephilim - but as a general matter is the book sound. Is there evidence to believe or think that the book of Enoch is divinely inspired? I won't ask you about the Nephilim as i have been listening to your course on Angelology (great course) - think in that course you take the position that the nephilim are fallen angels? So, bottom line guess the question is, how do you approach this issue and what is the process you come to the particular conclusion relating to a book not specifically in the Bible but is somewhat referenced (loosely)? There is much produced dealing with the Nephilim, fallen angels and the book of Enoch - hard to discern sometimes what is from God and what is from man/ devil.
Anthony, Beaufort, SC -Should we be more aggressive in our evangelism toward those we feel do not share the same values, or are not in the same class as we might be?
Wanda -I need discernment on who to believe when listening to different Pastors/Teachers on the radio and online. I absolutely love learning more about God, the Bible, Truth. Dr. Broggi is one of my favorites. I also listen to David Platt, Paul Washer, Francis Chan, Voddie Baucham, John MacArthur, Tony Evans, Ravi Zacharias and a few more. I need to be confident that all of these men are true Biblical men of God. I struggle with this a lot.
Could Pastor Broggi explain the role of Bible teachers in the church, especially should women be teaching a class with both males and females in attendance.
A caller says that Perry Noble's church is beginning to impact his community. Could Pastor Broggi comment on Perry Noble's beliefs and if his is a Bible-believing church?
Gabby, Beaufort, SC - I am a new Christian, as well have joined CBC and love the Truth that comes from your teachings and of course the bible. I find myself questioning some friends/acquaintancees of mine who attend some of these newer churches in the area that are like rock concerts and teach all about the Lord's grace. I have attended in the past these newer churches and never got anything out of it which led me to CBC. As well I see these friends and acquaintances who attend these churches drinking alcohol, plus many other avoidable sins that they say they will just be forgiven for. Their famous words are "God will judge me at the end of the day". Am I being judgmental? Are these so called hip, fun, nonjudgemental churches signs of false teachers? Even if they believe Jesus died for them and don't try each day to live a true Christian life, is this mockery?
