Series:

Summary

Anonymous (Live Dictation) -  How do I know that God knows I have faith, I have been going thru a bad situation for a year and a half, and I wonder sometimes, if He even hears me... does He know that I love Him?

Pierce, Atlanta, GA -- Let me start by saying, a friend of mine, who lives in Savannah, GA, introduced me to your ministry and it has been a tremendous blessing for my life. Some of the topics you have answered in your sermons and on the Bible Line have been areas I was wanting to understand further and has helped to develop my faith to deeper levels. To my question: You often refer to NT Wright as NT Wrong, being newer to the program (and not extensively familiar with NT Wright's work) I was curious of why it is that you refer to him in this manner? Our church recently started a series on Romans and the pastor recommend NT Wright's guide to Romans as a compliment to our series. I was curious if the problems with NT Wright's theology extended to all works or if certain publications raise more red flags than others?

Jessica, Arkansas (Live Dictation) - We are planning to pull our kids from public school next year. We live in an area where there are no Christian schools, could you please recommend an online Christian school? We have heard about Liberty university, pathways and Ignite, are you familiar with their online programs?

Anonymous (Live Dictation) - I am a 70 year old woman, and I am a born again Christian and I have been baptized. I do not feel In my heart the Holy Spirit, I have a lot of burdens and trials and try to be obedient, I wonder what I am doing wrong, I hear other believers always say that their life is good, do you have any advice?

Robert, Okatie, SC (Live Dictation) - During my bible study on Job chapter 1, I took a rabbit trail to Psalm 82:1 and Psalm 89:7 would you please explain " Divine Council" as it is mentioned in these two verses in the ESV translation?  also, I would like to thank you for your ministry Pastor Broggi

Christian, Seabrook, SC - I have been studying Joshua in my Bible lately and I recently read Joshua 5:13-15. In these verse Joshua comes across a man who identifies Himself as the captain of the host of the LORD. Verse 14 says Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down, and said to him, "What has my Lord to say to his servant?" Then in the beginning of chapter 6, I believe in reference to the same encounter, the Bible refers to the captain of the LORD's host as YHWH. I believe that this is an appearance of God in physical form in the OT. Is the captain of the LORD's host a pre-incarnate appearance of God the Son or is this a different member of the trinity? And why does Joshua refer to Him as lord (all lowercase) instead of Lord (Adonai) or LORD (YHWH) when it appears to me, that Joshua bows down in worship to Him?

Jeslyn, Willow Park, TX -- I attend a women’s class on Wednesday nights at our church, the teacher is very well studied and the topics are usually quite meaty and diverse. This last week she taught on the birth of Christ and I am confused and conflicted for these reasons: She taught from Luke 2:16, and Micha 4:8- she claimed that Jesus was indeed actually born in a Flock tower used by the shepherds to protect sacrificial lambs. She used scripture to back up this theory showing us pictures of the mangers, how they swaddle baby lambs that were for temple sacrifice and so on- she also said that she shepherds went with haste- which implied they knew exactly where to go close by, and quickly. Her argument was compelling… please tell me what you have learned about this “Tower of the flock “ birth story. Second: this narrative is different from the one our lead pastor teaches… which makes me feel like she is sewing seeds of grumbling and strife amongst the women of our congregation How should I respond to this situation? Thank you for you time.

Russ, Sturbridge, MA -- I know this debate goes on since the days of John Calvin, but I was not raised up in any churches that really taught his views. I believed I could and did choose Christ as my personal Savior, and I grow closer each day. Now most pastors in my area teach its only God's sovereign will! Nothing, not even a sneeze happens unless He wills it, and I could not choose anything. I say then why pray, or witness, and I also then wouldn't be accountable for anything. How do I answer?
