Summary
Jose , Bluffton, SC - What is your vision in the Spanish ministry?
Joseph, Lincoln, RI - For the past few years now I have tried to find a church here in New England, with a faithful Pastor who is committed to solid doctrinal teaching. The search has been discouraging. The most recent church I attended I found believed in a distorted understanding of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit to such an extent the I believed what was being done was grieving the Spirit rather than honoring Him. New and young believers were being led into a false understanding that could very well be harmful to their spiritual life if they do not study for themselves to find the truth. What's a guy to do Pastor? Do I continue to sit in a church that teaches topical milk messages that do not grow the sheep? Do I continue to attend and give to a church who's beliefs and practices do not line up as revealed in scripture because God wants me in community? I've made the effort for the past three years to find what you describe as a healthy biblical church but the best I can find is emotionalism, religious traditionalism and false teaching.
A listener in Charlotte, NC has a brother-in-law who is not living a very virtuous lifestyle. She is concerned about whether she should allow this man to ever visit or stay at her house, or even leave him alone with her children.
A caller would like to know how to win over family members who are in cults? The Christian members of the family know this is a salvation issue and they believe time is short. The cult is not a major organized one but rather it is based on the teaching of one so called "prophet". What should they do to help open the eyes of their family members?
Anthony, Beaufort, SC - How is it that some pastors using the same bible as solid pastors don't have the fundamentals of the faith?
A listener has observed that churches are bringing in more and more female bishops. This caller would like to know how do they justify women bishops?
