Summary

Sandy, Swansboro, NC - My mother in law is 94 years old and has been a member of the United Methodist Church all of her life. She and her liberal minded daughter still attend a "in-conference" UMC and she has no problem with most of the accepted practices rather by true belief or indoctrination I don't know. My question is when she passes away does it give the appearance of acceptance of this false church to attend her funeral?

Sharon, Springfield, GA -  I was just wondering if you had a list of questions that you refer to when seeking a new pastor. I am on our search committee and would greatly respect your input. We are a small Southern Baptist Church with probably a high of 50ish attending. We are at this time seeking a bi-vocational pastor. Thank you.

Dick, Beach, Bluffton, SC -  I am reading Psalm 22 which is labelled a Psalm of David. Yet much of the language of the Psalm is such that it could have written by Christ Himself including verses 1, 14, 15 (by allusion to physical condition ["I thirst"] on the cross) and 18. Is this Psalm prophetic? Or is it just self description by David during one of his many difficulties?

Sandy, Austin, TX -  Dr. Broggi, my husband I were members of Community Bible Church 15 years ago in SC. In Texas, we have been attending a Bible teaching church with faithful leadership and believers. Recently, while going through the book of 1 Corinthians, we studied whether or not women covering their head is still a mandate for the church today. After a three week study it has been concluded that head covering is still for women in the church. As you can imagine, now we have the veiled and unveiled, some have left altogether, and it has become a little uncomfortable. Headship is clear in the Bible, both at home and in the church. However, I don’t feel the need to wear a veil, nor does my husband want me to wear one. We have family members in a cult that follow this tradition, so it makes me uncomfortable to do the same. We were told the burden of proof to the contrary is on us to demonstrate that it is no longer for today. Is this a mandate for Christian women today? If not, why was it solely for the the early church if the tradition only ceased in the 20th century? Thank you for your time and ministry.

Daniel, Zagreb, Croatia -  God bless you, I am completely exhausted, lost, depressed, anxious, sick and hopeless. My faith is weak and all I can do is scream to Jesus for help. I have spent over three and a half years in mental hospitals with no improvement. Please help.

Anonymous, Savannah, GA  (Live Dictation) -  If all the believers are going to be taken in the Rapture, who are the people that are left behind and that will enter into the 7 years of the Tribulation?

Lin, Beaufort, SC -  Looking at Isaiah 35:5-6, can this be taken as the Messiah's miracles foretold, since the chapter seems to be about the Kingdom and the regathering of Israel? Thank you, Pastor!

Casey, Mount Shasta, CA -  I have conversations frequently with a catholic doctor-friend of mine. His most recent challenge to me is: "if the bible is self-interpreting, why are there so many denominations" ? ( he uses the number 36,000, which I believe is incorrectly too high)? Can you give me some help on what to study or how to explain to him how the bible interprets the bible?
