The Bible Line - June 04, 2024

Anonymous, - 1 Timothy 2:15 says, a woman will be preserved thru the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint,  what are your thoughts on this?

Brenda B., Romania -- Hi Pastor Broggi My husband and I are missionaries in an Eastern European country We have a new church plant that CBC has helped to make it possible. We recently had our first Communion. Afterwards I removed the cups and bread to the church kitchen and we had a regular meal together. We cleaned up the dishes and the few pieces of bread left from communion were discarded with the other leftovers on the plates. After we got home I received a call from one of leaders asking me what I did with the pieces of bread left on the communion plate. I was reprimanded to be very careful in the future because that bread had been prayed over and should have been passed around until every bite was eaten. I said I did not know of such a practice among Protestants. He said we needed to talk about it. Is there anywhere in the Bible that we are commanded to do this? I know about some Catholics taking literal stances regarding the bread and wine. I don’t think they take it that far but this culture tends to be superstitious about things. Is there a Biblical commandment regarding this. Thank you. Serving Christ in Romania.

Josh, Beaufort (Live Dictation) - I am NOT a believer, but I have been researching Christianity, I understand the concept of dying for our sins, but what I do not understand is why does God allow suffering of any kind, animals, people and also why is it that we enjoy things that are detrimental to us like, overeating?
