The Bible Line - July 3, 2018
Series:
Summary
Sue, Beaufort, SC - We had a visitor who asked the following question on Romans 8:26-27, more specifically Verse 27. This listener has heard your sermons and has read numerous books by Torrey, Spurgeon, Murray, and others on prayer. Is it possible that while the Spirit is praying within me, He could be praying something different from what I am verbalizing? Or, as I seek Him to lead me in prayer, will He impart and illumine God's will to me so that my prayers become one with His prayers, and, that I am merely the mouthpiece of what He is praying. I have to believe that in order to claim such a powerful promise in 1 John 5:14-16 that I can know what God's will is. And, I can only come to the conclusion that the Holy Spirit, as I seek Him as to how to pray, will tell me (Jer. 33:3)
When you cover Rev 13 can you discuss this: My Christian friends from India think 666 is wrong in all the English translations and it's actually some Muslim thing. The theory is about middle east languages like Arabic or Hebrew symbols that they think John actually saw.
Our next caller would like Pastor Carl to explain Exodus 32:32. Is Moses talking about the Book of Life?
Please explain first fruits and how this differs from tithing. What does the Bible explain...and how does this operate for merchants selling goods? Are there historical documents besides the Bible that address this. Is there a sermon or study on how this applies to businesses in 21st century America.
In 1 Peter 3:19 where it talks about Jesus descending - what was Peter talking about?
A caller would like Pastor Broggi to address professing believers who struggle to be with other believers on the Lord's Day (Hebrews 10). Also, what does Pastor Broggi think about the looseness with drinking among believers.
