Series:
Summary
Anonymous, - My husband and I are a bit nervous about the teaching we are receiving in our church. We are looking for discernment. I know Pastor Broggi believes that Tim Keller had some large theological flaws. Our ABF just announced we will begin a new series on Marriage and we will be using a resource from Tim Keller on this subject. I can’t recall what resource. My question is this…ought we sit under this teaching? We could always sit out if our ABF until the series is completed. But I wasn’t sure if we should attend, skip, or lovingly discuss our concerns with our ABF leader. I’m not sure if material written by Tim Keller could still be useful or if I should dismiss all of his teachings?"
Anonymous, Beaufort, SC - Good morning, Pastor Carl. I would like to know what your view is on a Living Will and Health Care Power of Attorney. Thank you.
Israel, Beaufort, SC - I have 2 questions from 2 Chronicles 32. In verse 31 does "the wonder that had happened in the land" refer to the angel used to destroy the Assyrian army? In verse 33 is "the book of the Kings of Judah and Israel" found in the Bible? If not where is it located? Thank you for taking my questions and i look forward to hearing your response.
Justin, Savannah, GA -- I have listened to your sermons and Bible Line for years on radio, and greatly respect your opinions as they typically align with my own. So, I hope that you will answer without pulling any punches. I have attended a church for just over 10 years now and have struggled back and forth with my opinion of my church for several of them, especially over the last 6 months. I'm struggling tremendously with whether my family and I should leave the church or stick it out. If you are familiar with our congregation and pastor/pastors at all, please give me your opinion of my church, or at least pray that the Lord would guide me to an undeniable answer.
Anonymous, Savannah, GA - Pastor Broggi, I have appreciated your clear Bible teaching which has blessed me over many years here in Savannah while listening on WAGP. I definitely trust your knowledge of the scriptures. My youngest son passed away a couple of years ago at the age of 18 after being ejected from a vehicle. I am confident that he believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was baptized in Believer's baptism by immersion at the age of 9. He was intelligent and he was very inquisitive about the Bible and Christianity from a young age. My family, including my son, attended a Christian church on Sundays on a very regular basis. My son's death has been devastating. One thing that I believe would help me is to fully understand where my son's soul is at while we await for the dead in Christ to rise. I know that the thief on the cross was with the Lord Jesus in paradise that day but I sometimes feel a bit like the father in Mark 9 asking for help in my belief. Can you help me to understand where my son is at today?
Jim W., Charlestown, RI - There are a number of updated translations of the NASB. May I ask which you prefer?
