Summary

Candace - Could Dr. Broggi recommend a good commentary for us to have at home. I’m learning so much from his sermons. We have found a solid expository preaching church which is also good. However, the church is Calvinist, and we are not. So I’m looking for a good commentary to have at home to help us study Scripture independently that is not from a Calvinist viewpoint.

Bob, Okatie - I notice throughout the Bible where prophets are listed, John the Baptist is never listed as a prophet even though Jesus in Matthew 10 declares him to be a prophet. Bob was just curious.

Dee R., Hardeeville, SC - We are studying Esther. J Vernon McGee wrote that the Jews who remained in Persia were out of the will of God. I would appreciate your thoughts on this statement especially in regard to Esther and Mordecai and how God used them, as well as Nehemiah.

Pete Murray, Kentucky - Please explain Revelation chapter 11, to understand  the order of the two witnesses? Is it at the beginning or middle of the seven years?

Andrew H., Savannah, GA - Dr. Broggi have you done a series on the book of Isaiah? Isaiah 9:6 is a much loved verse I learned as a young child clearly knowing it was talking about the birth of Jesus. Over the years and learning more about the Bible Isaiah continues to blow me away, with all the prophesies and the hundreds of years predating the New Testament. Can you give some background information on the earlier verses of Isaiah 9?

Faye, Georgia - Faye from Georgia has been talking to a neighbor about Christ...and he wants to know about those who had no opportunity to hear the gospel (like the Chinese) it's hard for him to understand how God could hold these people accountable. - Another friend says she finds it difficult for God to be considered loving when he exercises eternal retribution on good Muslims.
