Summary

Faye, Ridgeland, SC (Live Dictation) - Why do Christians not celebrate advent, is it related to Colossians 2:8?

JJ, Maryland - How would you respond to the Calvinist argument that the word "foreknew" in Romans 11:2 should be interpreted as chosen?

Derrick J., Perry, GA - Please clarify the following statement, "You didn't want heaven without us, so, Jesus, you brought heaven down. Is that biblical?

Alma, Richmond Hill, GA - Dr. Broggi, I attend the church in Savannah, GA that you addressed two week's ago on the bible line, You are probably familiar with the church and our doctrine. We’ve been studying baptism and the gospels and I understand what our Bible theology is but now I am beginning to question things and I’m not sure why. I want to know and be assured that my church follows the gospel as your church does. Is their attitude on baptism similar to yours or are we off the course telling people they must be baptized in order to be saved? This question makes me question things. I often think about skipping out of church and my Bible study in the morning, and attend your church but as you know, I’m in Savannah and you are in Beaufort, this is quite a distance to drive which I could, but I’m also senior person. Thank you and God bless.

John L., Beaufort,  SC - In your message of Sunday, December 27, 2024 you mentioned, in your chart, that a believer can lose the filling of the Holy Spirit. I understand that one can grieve the Holy Spirit, and this happening by a person wanting to have their own way. My question is: Is grieving the Spirit and losing the filling of the Spirit the same thing, Is it even possible to quantify the amount of filling of the Spirit, and Is there a time when one can cross the line of hindering the filling of the Spirit that He lets us go our merry way or would we stay a baby Christian?

Anonymous, Richmond Hill, GA - I am Wondering your view on reading the book of Enoch & the other books like this. I have always stayed away from them; but some say they are helpful, giving details and history not included in The Bible. What is your stance on this?
