Summary

Should the Churches finances be open to the congregation? Is there any Biblical evidence one way or the other?

Leslie, Beaufort, South Carolina - If everyone is born with a sin nature (making us all sinners immediately upon birth with or without having actually committed a sin), why did Jesus not inherit a sin nature from His human side thus making Him a sinner? 2. How can we say God became human like us, was tempted like us, but unlike us did not succumb to temptation? Jesus was God and could not possibly sin even if He had wanted to. So we can not compare ourselves to Him or even hold ourselves to the same standard as He held Himself. We can't hold ourselves to the same standard as Jesus (despite that He was "human") because He is God and incapable of committing sin. So, why try to live up to that standard?

Linda, Florence, Wisconsin - August 21 found me traveling from Virginia to Indiana. I heard you speaking on All Christian Radio "The Light" at 88.7 FM. You spoke of how many churches are accepting gays in the pulpit. My church, the Presbyterian Church(PCUSA), has done so and it breaks my heart. Your sermon was the most convicting sermon on this subject that I have ever heard. I'd like my husband and many others to hear it now that I'm home in Northern Wisconsin. Is it possible to get that sermon on cassete tape or CD?

I have been dialoguing with a youth.  He says he isn’t saved nor wants to be because of the biblical view of homosexuality because his uncle is gay and says that he was born that way and can’t change even if he wanted to.  The student read in some psychology book (secular of course) that some people are born homosexual.  I was trying to do some research on the subject but didn’t come up with anything other than very flawed research supporting this theory of being born gay.  Other comments on one of the articles  that I read all said basically the same:  “Why would I choose this lifestyle where people hate me and where there is so much bigotry and prejudice against gay people.  I must have been born this way.” Do you have any credible  references that dispute this theory with scientific fact that homosexuality is a lifestyle choice and not genetic?  Also, why would someone who hates that lifestyle want to continue in it even if they do feel like they are born gay?

Should the gift of pastor/teacher simply a gift or is it also a position in the church?

A listener has heard people say that you need to speak in tongues as an evidence that you are filled with the Holy Spirit. What Scriptures address whether this is true or not?

A listener asks Pastor Broggi about the name of "Satan."
