Summary
"Whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven and whatever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven." What does this verse mean?
My name is Carol. I come and visit your church whenever we are in town. I have a question about a book that I started to read recently. Being in a 'military' town, if you have heard of it, I would like to have your opinion on this book: Romans 13: The True Meaning of Submissio by Timothy Baldwin, J.D and Dr. Chuck Baldwin (http://www.romans13truth.com/ or http://chuckbaldwinlive.com/home/)
Dereena, Augusta, GA - In speaking with a co-worker who is Catholic, we both remarked that we were born on Catholic holidays. I mentioned that I was born on November 1, which Catholics celebrate as All Saint's Day and he mentioned that he was born on December 8 which is the day of Mary's ascension. This opened up a discussion about death and resurrection, etc. I explained to him, very gently, that Mary did not ascend to Heaven because being a person just like him or me (albeit one who was chosen to give birth to Jesus), her spirit is in Heaven, but her body is in a grave and she will not bodily ascend to Heaven until the Rapture. Please correct me if I am wrong and explain what happens when we die as far as what happens to our spirit vs. what happens to our earthly bodies. Also, the Bible teaches that Elijah and Enoch were taken up into Heaven without dying. Did their bodies "ascend" to Heaven?
