Summary

Anonymous, Beaufort, SC -- My husband and I have different views on drinking alcohol. I believe that any kind of partaking in alcohol beverages is a sin. He thinks drinking without getting drunk is okay, but I disagree because it is still being under the influence of something other than the Holy Spirit. I feel very strongly on the subject and it is very saddening to me that he feels this way, and I feel it's hindering his spiritual growth. This is always a point of disagreement between us which in itself is unhealthy. I think in his heart he knows it's wrong but he is holding onto it for some reason unknown to me, or maybe it is just a sin that he struggles with and is trying to justify it. I would like to know what your advice would be for us as a couple having such different views on this issue. Thank you for your input. We have both grown up at CBC so he knows your stance on the subject, but I as the wife need your advice on this situation.

Niki, Golden, CO -- With two of our adult children home this summer, we are going through Ecclesiastes together. Our older two children attend Hillsdale College so they have been taught to think. The question that keeps coming up is why Ecclesiastes is written in both the first and third person and did more than one person write the book? If the entire book was written by Solomon, why the change in the points of view?

Ryan, Charlotte, NC (Live Caller) - I have a question about your Wednesday night series that you teach and why do you cover the certain topics that you do on Wednesday nights with your congregation?

Cynthia C., Beaufort, SC -- What happened with Mark verses 16:9-20? My Bible has a note that these verses were not included in the early manuscripts. When I looked on line several comments said none of the early church fathers liked the ending of Mark and this ending was “made up”. Who wrote these verses? How are they attributed to Mark?

Sean M., Ft. Wayne, IN -- What does the Bible say About Marriage???

Faye, GA (Live Dictation) - Charlie Kirk who goes to college campuses to debate students, used the analogy of Samson related to Donald Trump, he mentioned that Samson even though he was a sinner was used by God, what are your thoughts?
