Summary

Regarding the roles of men and women in marriage a caller's wife is an active duty Marine and the husband has opted to stay home and take care of the two year old. Is this contrary to what the Bible calls couples to do?
Jack Van Impe says we have just crossed the 6000 years mark and just moved into the 7000th year. A listener wants Pastor Broggi's opinion as well as his opinion about some people's refutation of that age using as their argument the verse from 2nd Peter 3:8 that a day is like a thousand years.
A listener's daughter-in-law is a member of a denomination that believes in theistic evolution. How should she deal with this?
Ginger, Bluffton, SC - Dr. Broggi Please explain the relationship between David and Jonathan Especially in 2Sam 1 where it says David loved him with more than the love of a woman I know it's not speaking of homosexual love but I need to be able to explain it to someone
Wade, Beaufort, SC Is Tim Keller an acceptable author to read and study?  Contemplating a study from his book The Meaning of Marriage.
In Matthew 17, what was Jesus' reason for rebuking the disciples when they asked why they were unable to cast the demon out of the boy.
Dave, Lebanon, CT -  I recently heard the sermons on Living With a Difficult Wife in your marriage series. I was struck by a statement that you said that has somewhat clarified my "confusion of priorities". You see, I am a Teen leader in my local church and I have recently got engaged to a God-fearing woman who desires to serve with me in the church. I'm excited but I am concerned, as the pastor has strongly pushed for me to take on more responsibilities such as worship leader and eventually assistant pastor and he also desires for my fiance to take on the role of teaching the younger children almost immediately after we are married. One of the things I am concerned about is whether or not I can devote enough time to our marriage yet glorify God in serving in the church. As I have read and prayed, I see responsibilities to not only make God first in my life but to also fulfill my role to her as a future husband. How do you balance this? How can I serve God as in Deut. 6:5, yet give time to her? I see great men of God so involved in serving God, yet some of them neglect their marriage.

Ryan, Worcester, MA - Something I have been thinking about recently is the backbone the church is lacking. For example, in a sermon by John MacArthur, he compares Planned Parenthood to Nazis when speaking of the evil of abortion. Jesus said so much stuff that made a lot of people very angry. In what ways should Christians be calling out the immorality of the world and speaking up for truth? Should every Christian be like this or do you think God gave some a little thicker skin?

Anna, Savannah, Georgia - Do you believe a born again believer can fall into a state of unrepentant sin, to where they are considered wicked in God's sight?

Suzanne, Saint Helena Island, SC - My daughter converted to Mormonism and then married a Mormon. Now she has repented and accepted Christ and realizes the wrong path she has taken. She no longer wants to attend Mormon services, nor does she want to raise their daughter in the Mormon church. To complicate matters, her husband works for the Mormon church in Salt Lake City. How do I counsel her? Should she continue to attend Mormon church, or should she tell her husband of her belief and salvation? My heart is heavy, but I am so thankful that she has come to Christ! I know that there is a couple at CBC who were Mormons and they joined the church maybe 6 months to a year ago? Could you give them my name and email address, as I would love to talk to them, if they were willing. I thought maybe they would have some insight as to how to approach my son-in-law.
