Summary

This morning my 9 year old daughter asked me why God loved Jacob and not Esau. She went on to describe the different character of the brothers. Jacob being a deceiver and a cheater, yet Esau seemed to be more obedient and respectful to his parents. She asked, “Why didn’t God forgive Esau, and why does the Bible say God loved Jacob and hated Esau, how can God hate anyone?”

From a five year old listener: What day were bugs created on? Did God create tornadoes and hurricanes?

What is the best way to approach a homosexual sibling making sure to show the love of Christ but yet letting them know this lifestyle is a sin and displeasing to God. This caller is not sure his sibling is truly a Christian.

Is it a lack of faith to go to the doctor for treatment of a disease like cancer or a procedure like heart surgery, etc., or should we just trust in God for the healing of our body?

Patrick from WestNewton , Pa - I have two children 7. and 9. My wife and I live and often talk of the imminent return of the lord. we want our children to be prepared to stand for God and against the world system. I am concerned that the Kids may become pessimistic, or even depressed as they become more aware of the terrible things happening in the world. how should we help them to trust that God is in control no matter what?

I was interested in your help with a situation we are involved with. The church my husband and I are involved in is getting ready to study The Story. It is supposed to be an overview of the Bible. We have started reading it so we would have an idea of the material. We are very uncomfortable with the material as it seems to remove and/or gloss over anything remotely controversial. We have yet to find any theologians that we trust who endorse it and the churches that we are aware of that have done it are not on the same page as we are theologically. I was just wondering if you had heard of it and/or had an opinion of it.

What does Pastor Broggi think of "altar calls" for people to go forward when they are sick and need healing, or need the elders to pray over them.

During the 11 o'clock service this past Sunday you made a reference that we should be buried not cremated and my wife and I wondered why?
