If a Christian is going to live in a country where Christians are not allowed to attend church so they go to a home study instead, what should that Christian do with their tithe?

I was divorced from my ex-wife in 2006. The woman I married was someone I committed adultery with. I married this woman. We are now Christians and know that we reap what we sow. my question is, is our marriage acknowledged by God? I also lost my child in a car accident a year ago, was this part of my punishment for the wrong I have done? 

Emmanuel from Beaverdale, Pennsylvania -  Concerning unsaved people, are we not to befriend them? I have a few friends that are not saved. My only motive is to lead them to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In last Sunday's sermon the preacher seemed to be indicating that God does not send these people for us to befriend. I was wondering about your thoughts on this matter.

Serena from Naples, ME - I am confused by the apparent contradiction between Scripture referencing election such as Romans 9:11 and Scripture regarding God's desire that none should perish. Would you please help me resolve what I know is not truly contradiction? I strongly believe that Jesus' atonement was not limited, but I get caught on these sections in study Bibles that say God only chooses some for salvation.  How can they teach this when we have verses like 1 Timothy 2:4 and 1 John 2:2?
