Summary
Anonymous, Hilton Head, SC (Live Dictation) - What does Pastor Carl think about a Pastor that doesn't open a Bible but just reads it from a screen and has a lot of bullet points that are related to the scripture he reads?
Eileen, High Bridge, NJ - I'm wondering if you have a teaching in the Search the Scriptures catalog on spiritual warfare? As background, I lead a women's bible study in my home and in the past 2+ years we've gone through your Angelology series, we also studied Charles Ryrie's Holy Spirit book, and am now going through the Acts series. I believe the Lord has been leading us in these studies and has preparing us for a study on spiritual warfare. I have 2 books (which I believe you had recommended or talked about), Biblical Demonology by Merrill Unger and Your Adversary, The Devil by Dwight Pentecost. I'm considering using these books as a basis for the study which we could also supplement with any teaching you may have on Search the Scriptures. Also, if you have any other suggestions for a study on spiritual warfare, I would appreciate it.
Andrew, Houston, TX - I just finished the Every Man a Warrior program, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow in my time in Scripture. My next step is to begin reading through books of the Bible more intentionally and applying some of the quiet time skills I learned during the program. I’m planning to start with the book of James. One of the elders recently asked whether I had ever heard of “arcing” and pointed me to John Piper’s explanation of it. I wanted to ask your opinion on that approach and whether you think it would be a helpful way to go deeper in studying Scripture?
Susan, Bluffton, SC - At the 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth, will those who had been raptured, have glorified bodies and the survivor/believers of the tribulation have mortal bodies, and will we co-exist? Also, over whom will we reign?
