Summary

Mitch, Beaufort, SC (Live Dictation) - Is there another scripture besides 1 Timothy 5:23 which you mentioned to a previous caller "Gabe" that talks about the use of medicine? also Dr. Broggi uses the word Pharmakeia in reference to illicit drugs is there a way to distinguish when it is used for medication?

Ofelia, Savannah, SC (Live Dictation) - I listen to  "Understanding the Times" with Jan Markel, does Pastor Broggi consider it is a good program that prepares Christians for the rapture?

Will W., Savannah, GA - I am a believing 75 y-o male who is trying to become the man GOD wants me to be. I listen to you (& others) on WAGP (STS) & I respect your opinions. What can you tell me about Tammy Hotsenpiller & her books on Fasting ?

James C. - I write in question of dressing for church. In short, when my wife and I decided to have a child and start going to church full time without excuses, we managed to make two Sunday services before she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive stage two ovarian cancer in which she lost her ability to birth children. We haven’t shaken or missed a Sunday service online and if we did, we went back on YouTube and watched it. Now she has a new clean bill of health and her immune system is rebuilding but the wig she wears is stitched into a hat. Wigs are very expensive and even one that we could afford isn’t very presentable. That being said, the wig stitched into a hat is the most suitable and respectable one. I am under the impression that wearing a hat in church is disrespectful of a holy ground and in the presence of God. I am seeking guidance from the pastor as to what is acceptable so I can bring my family back into the congregation. Thank you.

Anonymous - What is your view on family planning? Scripture is very clear that children are a blessing, a reward from the Lord. My husband and I completely agree! But now we have 4 kids under 4 and frankly- we’re a little tired! Moreover, the pregnancies have been getting more difficult and we don’t feel that it’s fair to those who we have leaned on during the rougher seasons of pregnancies to ask them to help us again and again.
Is it okay to call it done with having more kids? Is that limiting Gods blessings? Or is it using wisdom to consider our own limitations?

Judy C., Mississipi - My ex-sister-in-law believes that my husband mistreats me and that it's bad enough I should divorce him knowing I can be forgiven for divorcing afterward.   I am not sure.  I am torn between the Bible's guidance to "stay where I am" or to free myself from him.
