Summary

Kelvin, Lancaster, Nh - We have some Christian friends who will not attend church on Christmas and Easter service. They say it is a pagan holiday and they celebrate the Resurrection each day.... Would u give a little history on Easter and why a Chistian would not come to church. Our response was whether it's Christmas, Easter, or July 4th we attend church because it is the Lords day.

In Isaiah 9:6 it refers to the coming Messiah as "Eternal Father." If this is referring to Jesus (the Son), how can he be called 'Father'?

A listener asks about the "sin position" of a divorced person given the passages in the Bible that state "If a woman divorces and marries another man she is considered an adulteress...but if that woman's divorced husband dies, she is free to marry again."

A caller asks Dr. Broggi's thoughts on the following comments regarding predestination and election: If God's irresistable will is for a man to become a Christian, a man's will is to not choose God...whose will will win? And If God was to look down the corridor of time and see whether a man chooses to trust Christ, then the sovereign election would be based on God's seeing the results of that individual's decision, rather than God's will, thus making the decision works-based.

A caller's sister has moved recently and she has been talking with a man who says "he has been annointed by God" to teach. He is telling this woman's sister that we do not go to heaven the minute we die; rather, he says that we sleep until Christ returns for us. This woman knows Luke 23:43 where Jesus Christ tells the criminal that today he will be in paradise with Him. What other scriptures can she use to demonstrate the absent from the body/present with the Lord? Does Pastor Broggi have a series on Search the Scriptures that she can pass along to her sister?

Carl, Summerville, SC - I would like Pastor Broggi's thoughts on those today that call themselves Prophets and Apostles. I understand that some may have apostolic gifts, but I believe that the office of the Apostle no longer exists. I believe that it's confusing for church leaders to refer to themselves in this way, especially for new Christians. The pastoral epistles give us the blueprint regarding the leadership for the NT Church. Your thoughts please and thank you so much for your ministry

Rosie, Bluffton, Sc -Do evil spirits roam on earth and can they reveal themselves to young children?
