Summary

Is it okay for an Evangelical University or College to have a woman as president or chancellor?
Our next caller is wondering if there is scripture that addresses "the concept of enabling" when you have a parent who is unable to care for themselves, physically or financially, because of a sinful addiction.  We know God is generous, what should a child do for this parent?
In Rev. 22:12 is John talking about Jesus' post-Armaggedon time?
Jon,  NH - I know many genuine God loving, God seeking born-again Christians that by grace have poured their lives into living according to the Word of God. The evidence of their maturing faith in Jesus surrounds them, and is a testimony to the power of God. These friends come from many different evangelical denominations. Some differences in interpretation/truth are small, and some differences seem rather large. So my question is, even though these differences may be small, why has God allowed his Church to be divided into so many small groups? Why does God allow this difference of opinion in genuinely sincere Christians that seek truth in the Word of God? Is it sin?
Jonathan, Gadsden, AL - In Matthew 24 Jesus says "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come." Help me better understand this verse. My specific question is didn't we all come from Adam and Eve (or Noah and his family)? What does Jesus mean by "all the nations" when we are one people? Also what's your view of the new Christian Standard Bible? Thanks

Cathy, Dickinson, North Dakota -  How would you respond to someone who challenges the idea that responding to general revelation leads to specific revelation? The person that I was debating this issue with is of the Calvinist/Reformed persuasion. I think I satisfied myself with my answers from Scripture, but I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this.

Matt, Ridgeland, SC - My wife is looking to find a bible study/devotional for her quiet time. While I feel fairly confident in knowing the background and doctrine of pastors I read, I lack knowledge on women authors for devotionals that contain sound doctrine. Not that there are too few out there, but simply because I haven’t ever looked for one. My wife and I have been married for a few years and I want to make sure I am helping her grow in her faith. Any direction or information you could share would be greatly appreciated!
