Mothering From The Heart - September 4, 2012

I found empty liquor bottles in my husband's things and I am very hurt to learn my husband drinks. I kept the bottles and showed him and ask him why and how long has he been drinking liquor! He said " sorry, it won't happen again and I don't want to talk about my demons with you. We've been married a long time and this may explain why he goes to sleep so early lately.  When I have inquired over the past two months about early bedtimes.  He said,"my body isn't use to running in this heat and I think I over did it.  After finding these bottles I think it's this is the reason. Never knew my husband was interested in liquor.  I thought he was a devoted family man to us. I really want to pack up and go home to my parents because this is so hurtful to learn your life is a lie.  I am sleeping on the sofa now because he is a stranger to me.

In my large family, my boys (age 5 and under) are aware that if I'm tied up, they are free to get into trouble.  I'm amazed at the things that I sometimes find out have happened behind my back.  How can I help my kids be good, even when I'm not there?
