Mothering From The Heart - October 30, 2013
Series:
Summary
I live in New England and am beginning a MFTH bible study in my home. The ladies were interested in having a book club as well. Do you have any book suggestions?
I am about to have my second child – my two little ones will be 15 months apart. is it possible for the first year with 2 to not be a blur? That's the thing mothers who have had kids close together say - "Oh, it's hard and it's just a blur those first few years...but now they're older and it's great!" I don't want to look back on the next year or two and say, "Oh, we survived but it's just a blur." Is that even possible? Should I expect it to be a blur? I've tried to soak up every second my son the past 16 months, and I want to look back on the first year with this next baby with the same fondness.
Dear Audrey, I have a 3 year old little boy who enjoys going to church and seeing familiar faces of those he is coming to know and love. Recently, when we have gone for our weekday bible study he has not been too excited to go to his class and will cry and cling to me. I teach another class for older children and wondered if I should make him go to his class or keep him with me. He was going in his class just fine a few months ago but now is just uneasy and fearful with the entire transition. Am I feeding into his fear by keeping him with me? What do you suggest I do to help him through this? Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!
