Terms of Service

1. Overview

Search the Scriptures (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit Christian ministry based in South Carolina. By opting in to receive SMS text messages from us, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not opt in.

2. The SMS Program

When you check the opt-in box on our website forms, you are enrolling in our SMS update program. This program may include:

  • Notifications that your submitted question has been answered
  • General ministry updates and announcements from Search the Scriptures
  • Information about The Bible Line radio program and related resources

Message frequency varies. We do not send daily messages and will use reasonable discretion in how often we contact you.

3. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Search the Scriptures is not responsible for any charges applied by your carrier.

4. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of our SMS program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts will be sent. You may also contact us directly to request removal (see Section 8).

5. How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us directly using the information in Section 8.

6. Eligibility

By opting in, you confirm that:

  • You are the account holder or have permission from the account holder to enroll the phone number provided
  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You are providing your phone number voluntarily for this purpose

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will post the updated version on our website with a revised effective date. Continued receipt of messages after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
