The Bible Line - January 28, 2014

Rick, Hilton Head:  When will the redeemed of the millenium be resurrected?

Anthony, Beaufort If God wants none to perish but all to come to repentance, then does God have to honor our prayers for people we love to come to faith? Also, are our prayers more powerful if accompanied by fasting?

Jamie, Lilliwaiup, Washington -Just listened (via WAGP radio) to Sunday's sermon on Romans 9. Your comment at the end of the message, to those who might be new in the faith, to hang in there, for their understanding of the Scriptures will grow with time and exposure. We appreciate your wringing out every shred of Truth in a passage, rather than constantly dumbing it down supposedly for the sake of new believers. Could you comment on the oft repeated sentiment, 'church isn't about what you can get out of it, but what you can put into it'? To desire the manifold riches of God's Word in a sermon, is to many seen as a self centered and unworthy expectation. My husband and I were saved by a teacher/preacher such as yourself, and when we didn't understand, we always at least got a glimpse of the immensity of God, and wanted more.

David, Savannah, GA - Listener serving at the wildlife supper. What a blessing to hear Dr. Reccord promoting the Gospel. What a contrast to the messages from the likes of Joel Osteen, denouncing the apostle Paul, and his giving okay to the sin of homosexuality.

Trina, Shelburne, New Hampshire - I came across a commentary on the book of Daniel by J. Vernon McGee stating that Daniel was most likely castrated and made into a eunuch when he was taken into captivity. I have never heard this before and was wondering what your opinion is on this.

Lee, Savannah, GA -

In 1 Samuel 28: 11-21, how was it possible that Samuel was brought up. Also, is Saul in heaven today?

Russell, Savannah , Ga - Did Adam and Eve children and grand children sleep with each other to populate the world?

Michael, Stella, NC - I'm looking for help explaining the Holy Trinity to my Step-Daughter. Something in simple terms. She is a new believer and although I've been a believer most of my life I'm unable to explain it to her in a way she can understand. Specifically, she's having a hard time grasping that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are co-equal, but also separate and that they each have different roles. I sincerely appreciate anything you can offer.

Kim, Raleigh, North Carolina - Dear Dr. Broggi, Could you please recommend churches in the Raleigh NC area?

A caller asks Pastor Broggi about the relation between Ps. 22 and Jesus' cry on the cross "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Was this cry because of his being separated from the Father when He took on the sins of the world?

Speaker: Dr. Carl Broggi
